According to VNA, within the framework of the State visit to the Kingdom of Denmark, on the morning of October 20 (local time), in Copenhagen, General Secretary and President To Lam attended the Vietnam-Denmark Business Forum.
Also attending the Forum were: King of the Kingdom of Denmark Frederik X; leaders of ministries, branches, localities and a large number of Vietnamese and Danish businesses.
Speaking at the forum, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that Vietnam and Denmark have a good friendly and cooperative relationship built over half a century and are developing more and more deeply and substantially, from traditional development cooperation to equal and mutually beneficial partnerships, towards green and sustainable development.
To contribute to the successful implementation of the two 100-year goals, striving for double-digit growth in the period 2026 - 2030, Vietnam advocates promoting the synchronous and effective role of economic sectors, in which the foreign-invested economic sector is an important part of the national economy.
General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that the success of investors is the success of Vietnam. The interests of businesses must be linked to the interests of the country, people and the sustainable development of the economy.
Vietnam wishes to continue to promote the effectiveness of existing cooperation frameworks, while further facilitating trade and investment, connecting the business communities of the two countries, promoting technology transfer and improving the capacity of Vietnamese businesses to participate more deeply in sustainable value chains.
General Secretary and President To Lam said that the two countries have a lot of room to bring economic cooperation to a new level in areas where Denmark has strengths and Vietnam prioritizes attracting investment cooperation.

General Secretary and President To Lam requested Danish businesses to look at Vietnam with a longer-term vision: a production base, logistics center, innovation center and a dynamic consumer market of the region; an increasingly important link in the global supply chain.
General Secretary and President To Lam hoped that the Danish side would strengthen support for green finance, technology transfer, human resource training and business connection; promote Danish financial institutions and investment funds to participate in large and strategic projects in Vietnam.
General Secretary and President To Lam requested Danish businesses to move from "investing in Vietnam" to "investing with Vietnam" - strengthening links with domestic businesses, supporting Vietnamese businesses to participate more deeply in the global value chain; from "producing in Vietnam" to "researching, creating and producing in Vietnam" - making Vietnam a center for research, product development, innovation and human resource training in the global strategy of businesses; from "growth" to "green and sustainable growth" - working with Vietnam to develop clean energy, green logistics, low-carbon production, circular economy and supply chains that meet the highest standards of Europe and the world.
General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed that Vietnam is committed to continuing to accompany, listen to and act with the business community; continue to improve institutions, strongly improve the investment and business environment, promote reforms, simplify administrative procedures, develop infrastructure, improve the quality of human resources, create maximum favorable conditions for trade and investment, and promptly remove legitimate difficulties and obstacles of investors.
At the forum, General Secretary and President To Lam and King Frederik X of the Kingdom of Denmark, along with delegates from the two countries, witnessed the Handover of cooperation documents between ministries and sectors of the two countries in many fields.
