VNPT Trade Union responds to songwriting contest about workers and trade union organizations

Responding to Plan No. 469/KH-CĐKHCN dated October 8, 2026 of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology on organizing the Songwriting Contest on the working class, trade union organizations, and the Science and Technology sector, the VNPT Trade Union requests affiliated grassroots trade unions to actively propagate and mobilize union members and workers to participate, contributing to creating musical works with ideological, artistic and social impact.

With the theme "Melody of the working class, trade union organization, Science and Technology sector", the contest focuses on three main contents: Praising the Party, Uncle Ho, trade union organization, Science and Technology sector; vividly reflecting the life, role and contributions of the working class, Vietnamese trade union organization; portraying the image of workers in the Science and Technology sector with the spirit of dedication, love for the profession, innovation, mastery of technology, contributing to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

Each entry must have a complete song recording and a piece of music fully recording the melody, lyrics, and song structure in PDF format. The entry is in Vietnamese, with a duration of no more than 5 minutes. The entry must ensure creativity, not violate copyright, related rights and current legal regulations.

The Organizing Committee encourages authors and groups of authors to apply digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in the process of composing, orchestrating, harmonizing and producing recordings. The use of technology must ensure creativity, transparency, compliance with regulations on intellectual property and copyright; authors are responsible for the content, originality and usage rights of entries.

Participants are individuals and groups of authors working at agencies and units under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology; workers and union members of the Vietnam Union living and working at home and abroad who are capable of composing music.

The contest has a prize structure including: 1 First prize worth 50 million VND; 2 Second prizes, each prize 40 million VND; 3 Third prizes, each prize 30 million VND; 10 Consolation prizes, each prize 10 million VND. In addition, there are 5 Vote prizes awarded to works with the highest valid votes on the fanpage of the Vietnam Science and Technology Union, with prizes of 10 million VND, 8 million VND, 5 million VND, 3 million VND and 2 million VND respectively.

The contest was launched from October 9, 2026; the time to receive entries lasts until the end of March 2027. It is expected that the preliminary round will take place in April 2027, the final round in May 2027 and the results and awards will be announced in August 2027.
