Honoring the beautiful values that are being preserved and nurtured by millions of workers

Speaking at the opening of the 2026 National Typical Vietnamese Workers Commendation Program, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the VGCL, said that there are tasks that still silently take place every day and create achievements present in the lives of all of us such as: Electricity is maintained, flights are safely taken off, products reach customers, patients are cared for, information is connected smoothly between natural disasters. Behind those simple tasks are people who are dedicated to the profession, cherish every opportunity to learn and always be creative to do their work better every day. And today, we are here together to dedicate our respect to those people.

Our country is entering a new period of development with the determination to achieve the double-digit growth target. That aspiration is posing very specific requirements in each industry, each enterprise, each production line, which are: Must master new equipment and technology, must improve the quality of products and services, must save raw materials, materials, resources, reduce errors and ensure safety in production labor. Skilled workers who know how to be creative, disciplined and responsible are the ones who contribute to turning those requirements into daily results.

According to Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan, the program to commend typical Vietnamese workers nationwide, which is being organized for the first time by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, is to honor and spread those labor values. Each example of worker honored today is a vivid, moving, and inspiring story, helping us to understand more deeply the precious qualities that are being nurtured every day in the workforce of workers across the country.

From nearly 18 million workers nationwide, through the discovery and introduction of trade union levels and press and media agencies, a thorough, objective, and fair evaluation process, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour selected 10 outstanding and most typical workers to honor at today's Program.

They are typical workers in applying science, technology, digital transformation, technical improvement and innovation. From the reality of production labor, they persistently explore, master equipment, improve processes, turn experience into initiatives, improve productivity, quality and safety in production. In them, we see the intelligence, talent and aspirations of a generation of Vietnamese workers in the face of new requirements of the country.

They are typical workers with will and determination to overcome adversity to rise up. Facing illness, accidents and harsh challenges, they still maintain an optimistic spirit, persistently study, improve labor skills, take care of their families and contribute to businesses and society.

They are typical workers in the work of building and protecting the Party, the State, and the Trade Union organization. With political bravery, sense of responsibility, and prestige in the collective, they contribute to consolidating trust, ideals, and maintaining solidarity and attachment of workers to the Trade Union organization and businesses.

They are typical workers in community activities, brightening the image of friendly, responsible, and compassionate Vietnamese workers. From sharing with colleagues in difficult circumstances, connecting kind hearts to bravely helping people in distress, they have brought warmth to many lives.

They are also typical workers at national and international skills competitions and skilled workers contests. Behind the awards that they have achieved are months of diligent and serious training, creativity and determination to overcome themselves. The achievements of them affirm the capacity and skills of Vietnamese workers, arouse pride and add motivation to study and improve skills for colleagues, especially young workers.

The 10 faces honored today are typical embodies of the beauty of Vietnamese workers in the new era: Skillful, creative, brave, responsible and compassionate. Honoring them is also respecting and honoring the noble values that are being preserved and nurtured by millions of workers across the country" - Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan assessed.

Speaking at the Program, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan said that General Secretary and President To Lam, despite being busy on foreign business, paid attention and dedicated his feelings to sending a gift of a portrait photo of President Ho Chi Minh to 10 typical workers nationwide as a message to Vietnamese workers to actively study and practice Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, methods and style to continue overcoming all difficulties, working creatively to contribute more to businesses and the country.

As a representative organization of workers, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour understands that a worker who wants to do his job better needs to be educated and improve their qualifications; if they want to propose an initiative, they need someone to listen to and receive it; if they want to be assured of their contribution, they need jobs, income and health.

The Standing Committee of the VGCL will continue to direct trade union levels to make the discovery and training of typical examples a regular activity at the grassroots level; strengthen dialogue and negotiation so that each worker is given conditions to study and improve their qualifications, and every initiative, even the smallest one, is respected, introduced, applied and honored.

We hope that the workers who are commended today, when returning to work, will share and spread the meaning of the program as well as the spirit of creativity and aspiration to contribute so that the joy of 10 people becomes the motivation of millions of people so that every year, we have more and more typical and outstanding Vietnamese workers who are commended" - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed.
