Creating motivation to improve productivity

Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Thanh - Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Giap Quan Thang Service and Trading Co., Ltd. (Can Tho City) - shared that the Trade Union regularly propagates and mobilizes employees to participate in emulation movements, promote initiatives to bring practical benefits to businesses, from shortening working hours to improving product efficiency and quality.

When employees discover problems during work and propose ways to improve, the Trade Union will coordinate and advise company leaders to consider. Initiatives that help improve working conditions, simplify processes, shorten implementation time or improve work efficiency are all recognized. For initiatives of great value, the bonus level is also higher," Ms. Thanh said.

In addition, the "Excellent Worker" commendation program is also being implemented to encourage workers. The assessment is not only based on productivity but also considers work performance techniques, awareness of compliance with regulations, working style and coordination capacity in the production process.

According to Ms. Thanh, workers in general respond to movements. Because timely recognition and encouragement bring practical benefits, creating more motivation for them to actively work.

At Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Can Tho City), the emulation movement and promotion of initiatives are also maintained regularly and have become one of the criteria for evaluating emulation of employees.

Mr. Vo Thanh Hung - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - said that the ideas proposed by employees will be received, classified and evaluated for feasibility. For ideas that can be applied in practice, the unit considers supporting and rewarding them according to regulations. The level of reward or form of recognition for recognized initiatives will depend on the effectiveness brought about.

The grassroots trade union also selects suitable ideas and initiatives to propose to higher-level Trade Unions. When there is a movement or program launched, the unit will consider and introduce typical individuals to participate, thereby creating opportunities for the contributions of workers to be recognized and spread more widely," Mr. Hung said.

Assessing the honoring programs organized by the VGCL, Mr. Hung said that praising Trade Union officials, union members and workers with good achievements is of positive significance. This is an opportunity to recognize efforts and initiatives in labor, and at the same time create more motivation for workers to strive.

According to Mr. Hung, when the emulation movement is maintained regularly and continuously and associated with appropriate evaluation and reward, workers will have more motivation to improve work efficiency, contributing to the development of businesses and society. Spreading typical examples also contributes to encouraging many people to boldly propose ideas, improve processes, and improve labor productivity.
