Activities to celebrate the National Innovation Day 2026 are implemented in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines.

On October 2nd, Mr. Mai Le Loi - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, said that based on the guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines issued guidelines for organizing activities to celebrate the "National Innovation Day" in 2026 at all levels of the Corporation's Trade Union.

This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Corporation's Trade Union (November 25, 1996 - November 25, 2016). The theme chosen by the Standing Committee of the Corporation's Trade Union is: "Innovation - The driving force for the development of enterprises and the whole society" with the slogan: "Each union member and employee has a creative idea, each stage is a cost control stage". The peak period will take place from October 1st to the end of October 5th, 2026.

The activity aims to arouse the spirit of technical innovation, application of technology and practice of thrift in production and business as well as Party and mass organization work. Accordingly, units promote emulation and practice Kaizen with practical solutions to directly remove operating "bottleneck points". The highlight is the research and application of digital technology to help shorten ship release time, optimize warehouse processes, automate port operation, sea transport and logistics services.

In addition, the activity also aims to promote the movement "Good Labor - High Productivity - Good Income", the "3 savings" campaign: saving time, raw materials, reducing management costs, reducing emissions to the environment; and at the same time proposing solutions to improve working conditions, ensure safety and occupational hygiene associated with green transformation.

To make activities practically effective, grassroots trade unions proactively propose to business leaders, coordinate with the Innovation Council, Kaizen Group or Digital Transformation Group at the unit to receive and support writing ideas descriptions and pilot implementation. The measure of ideas and initiatives is feasibility and practical benefits. Individuals and collectives with outstanding contributions will be commended and rewarded promptly.

Outstanding initiatives will be considered for "Creative Labor Title" by the Emulation and Commendation Council of the Corporation's Trade Union or proposed to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to award the "Creative Labor" Certificate.
