Bac Ninh Trade Union awards prizes for video contest to promote tobacco harm prevention and control

On October 27, the Bac Ninh City Labor Federation organized a conference to summarize and award prizes for the 2026 video and clip creative contest to promote tobacco harm prevention and control and propaganda on population work and reproductive health care for union members and workers.

Attending the Conference were: Representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, and branches of the city; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice President of the City Labor Federation; Mr. Le Duc Tho - Vice President of the City Labor Federation.

The contest was launched with the theme "Trade Unions at the grassroots level, union members, and workers join hands to build a smoke-free working environment", aiming to innovate propaganda forms, raise awareness and responsibility of union members and workers in preventing and combating the harms of tobacco.

After a period of implementation, the Contest attracted 33 entries. Many videos have rich content, creative forms of expression through skits, skits, and real-life situations at work, vividly conveying messages about building a safe, civilized, smoke-free working environment.

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, Vice President of the City Labor Federation, acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility and creativity of trade union levels and union members and workers participating in the Contest.

At the same time, it is proposed that trade union levels continue to promote propaganda, coordinate with employers to strictly implement regulations on preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco, associated with the emulation movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene".

At the Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded 12 prizes with a total value of 25 million VND, including 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 6 Consolation Prizes. In which, the First Prize belonged to the Trade Union of Biel Crystal Vietnam Production Co., Ltd.; 2 Second Prizes belonged to the Trade Union of Bac Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital No. 1 and the Trade Union of Lingyi Vietnam Co., Ltd.

The Organizing Committee selected 5 excellent works to continue participating in the Contest at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Also in the program, the Bac Ninh City Labor Federation carried out propaganda on population work and reproductive health care for union members and workers.

Delegates listened to Ms. Nguyen Vo Xuan Quynh - Chief of the Representative Office of the Central Vietnam Association for Community Health Education and Care in Bac Ninh city, conveying practical knowledge about population work, reproductive health care, prevention of related diseases, contributing to raising awareness and self-health care skills for union members and workers.
