Creating new developments in theoretical and leadership vision of the Party

Affirming and elevating the core and core role in theoretical research

On the morning of October 29, in Hanoi, the Central Theoretical Council solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its establishment (October 30, 1996 - October 30, 2026) and receive the Ho Chi Minh Order.

Speaking to direct at the Anniversary Ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary and President To Lam praised the achievements and contributions of the Central Theoretical Council in the past 30 years; emphasizing that the results of each project are persistent research efforts and responsibility to the Party and the people of each Council member.

General Secretary and President To Lam stated clearly that the country is implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, striving to implement the country's development goals to 2030 and 2045 and the next 100 years.

The Council needs to grasp, research, and correctly assess the content, see the limitations of theoretical work, and determine its research and consulting responsibilities to focus on solving.

The highest requirement for the Council is to contribute to improving the Party's capacity in perceiving laws, choosing directions and leading the development of the Party and the country. Theory must help the Party proactively open up new creative possibilities, forecast, identify early risks and prepare conditions to ensure success. Strategic advice needs to provide a scientific, solid, and correct basis for choosing policies and organizing implementation.

To meet that requirement, the General Secretary and President emphasized, continue to affirm and elevate the core and core role in theoretical research, summarizing practice and strategic advisory work of the Party, proactively forecasting and detecting new issues.

Developing theoretical thinking capable of orienting the future

The Central Theoretical Council must closely follow the movements of the country and the world, select research issues from leadership and development requirements. From specific obstacles, it is necessary to identify systematic issues, distinguish the causes belonging to awareness, institutions or organization of implementation to propose correct handling.

The General Secretary and President requested to effectively implement 2 major summary meetings, contributing to creating a new step in theoretical development and the Party's leadership vision.

The Central Theoretical Council needs to promote its core theoretical role, together with relevant agencies, objectively assess achievements, frankly clarify limitations, and open up issues that need to be further supplemented and developed. Throughout that process, it is necessary to deepen the lesson "The people are the root", affirming the role of the people as the subjects in the cause of building, developing and protecting the Fatherland.

The summary results must provide solid scientific arguments to serve the preparation for the 15th National Party Congress, research to supplement and develop the Platform, amend and supplement the Party Charter; and at the same time contribute to shaping the vision of developing the country beyond the limit of one term. Our responsibility is from the reality of a century, developing theoretical thinking that is strong enough to orient the future, creating a solid foundation for future generations.

The General Secretary and President clearly stated that focus on researching the foundational theoretical issues and new and urgent issues of the country and the era. The focus is on continuing to develop awareness of socialism, the model and path to socialism in Vietnam; it is necessary to deepen the relationship between the socialist-oriented market economy, the socialist rule-of-law state and the socialist democracy under the leadership of the Party.
