Merging People's Security College I into the People's Security Academy
The Minister of Education and Training signed a decision to merge People's Security College I into the People's Security Academy under the Ministry of Public Security.
According to Decision No. 3132/QD-BGDDT signed by Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son on October 29, People's Security College I merged into the People's Security Academy under the Ministry of Public Security.
This decision takes effect from December 1, 2026.
The People's Security Academy continues to exercise its rights and obligations to learners who enrolled before the merger until the end of the course according to the merger decision; ensuring that training activities, recognition of academic results, issuance of diplomas, certificates and legitimate rights and interests of teachers, employees, learners and related parties are not interrupted.
The People's Security Academy shall carry out procedures to request a license for educational activities or adjust or supplement decisions on licensing educational activities in accordance with the law.
Previously, on September 18, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau signed the Prime Minister's decision on arranging People's Police academies and schools.
According to the decision, 6 academies will be kept unchanged: People's Security Academy, People's Police Academy, People's Police Political Academy, Academy of Security Engineering and Technology, International Academy, University of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue.
