Opening of Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Heritage Train
Thai Nguyen - The train opens up a new approach in connecting railway transport with tourism activities.
On October 30th, Thai Nguyen province inaugurated the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Heritage Train, opening up more tourism connection methods, bringing tourists closer to the cultural space of the tea land.
Participating in the journey were nearly 100 delegates who are spouses of Ambassadors, Heads of foreign representative missions in Vietnam and representatives of departments and agencies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The opening of the train route takes place during the International Tea Festival 2026, creating conditions to connect the journey from the capital to the land with a long tradition of growing, processing and enjoying tea.
During the journey in Thai Nguyen, the delegation will visit and experience some tourist destinations in the province, participate in the program to celebrate the 195th anniversary of the province's establishment (1831 - 2026) and the Opening Ceremony of the International Tea Festival 2026.
According to the plan, the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Heritage Train operates daily with two trips: departing from Hanoi station at 6:20 am and returning from Thai Nguyen to Hanoi at 5:10 pm.
During the International Tea Festival, the ship operates 6 trips on October 30, October 31, November 1 and November 5, 6, 7. After that, the product is expected to be maintained stably with a frequency of two trips per week on weekends.
