Vietnam Electricity Trade Union will implement many activities to care for Tet Nguyen Dan Dinh Mui 2027 for workers.

On October 28, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union said that the industry union has issued a plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year Dinh Mui 2027.

Visiting and supporting union members in difficult circumstances

Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union said that with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, celebrate Tet", the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union implements many activities to visit and support union members in difficult circumstances, organize Tet Sum vay (Reunion Tet) and support workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate the Dinh Mui Lunar New Year 2027.

According to the plan, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union will organize 5 working groups of leaders of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and the Vietnam Electricity Group to visit, give gifts, and wish Tet at 25 units. Priority is given to units with outstanding production and business results, many workers; places with many difficult workers, low incomes, affected by natural disasters, working in remote and isolated areas or in heavy, hazardous, and dangerous industries.

In particular, units with many employees having to be on duty and working during Tet are also in the area of concern.

It is expected that there will be 5 working delegations, each delegation visiting 5 units, each unit selecting 10 individuals to visit. The gift level is 1,350,000 VND/person, including cash and in-kind. The total cost of personal visits according to the plan is 337,500,000 VND.

In addition to direct visits, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union pays attention to union members and workers suffering from critical illnesses; families in difficult circumstances due to natural disasters and fires; people who have had labor accidents or reduced working capacity. The support level is 1,000,000 VND/person, which is transferred to the affiliated trade union to pay for union members and workers.

At the corporation level, the trade union coordinates with professional departments to organize delegations to visit and encourage workers. The maximum allowance for visits is 1,350,000 VND/person, including cash and in kind. For workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from critical illnesses, work accidents, occupational diseases or affected by natural disasters and fires, the maximum support level is 1,000,000 VND/person; the number of union members being cared for does not exceed 12% of the unit's workers.

At the grassroots trade union, visits and encouragement activities continue to be implemented, focusing on difficult cases, and at the same time encouraging care and visits for 100% of the unit's employees.

Organizing Tet Sum vay, caring for workers far from home

Along with visiting and giving gifts, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union requests trade union levels to proactively organize or coordinate to participate in the "Tet Sum vay" program organized by local and sectoral trade unions. Activities are selected in a practical direction, suitable to the needs of workers, can be combined with giving gifts, organizing culture, sports, legal advice, health care and "Trade Union New Year's Eve Meal".

For places with many union members and workers who do not return to their hometowns for Tet, trade union levels can organize the "Tet not far from home" program or other appropriate forms. Activities to visit, give gifts, and organize Tet for workers in residential areas, construction sites, and projects before New Year's Eve are also encouraged to be implemented.

A noteworthy content is the plan to support air tickets or train tickets round-trip for about 20 union members and workers in particularly difficult circumstances to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with their families.

In addition to the above activities, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union encourages trade union levels to coordinate with businesses, local trade unions and partners to organize or create conditions for union members to participate in the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2027". Programs aim to provide essential goods and services that ensure quality, preferential prices, "0-dong" booths and appropriate welfare activities. Workers are also guided to participate in the online Trade Union Tet Market organized by the VGCL according to a separate plan.

The program "Trade Union Year-End Meal" Tet Dinh Mui 2027 is implemented at grassroots trade unions and trade unions at all levels, in coordination with professional departments to organize appropriately for shifts, prioritizing direct production workers, ensuring food safety, thrift and creating a warm and cohesive atmosphere.
