Free swimming lessons for 100 students who are children of workers in difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Duong Youth Activity Center has taught swimming for free to 100 students who are children of workers in difficult circumstances.
On the afternoon of October 25th, at Binh Duong Youth Swimming Pool under the Binh Duong Youth Activity Center (Chanh Phu Hoa ward), the closing ceremony of 2 free swimming classes for 40 students was held.
The students participating in the course are all children of workers in difficult circumstances in the Ben Cat, Chanh Phu Hoa, and Thoi Hoa wards.
Due to living conditions, the children's families do not have the conditions to send their children to swimming classes to prevent drowning. Faced with that situation, the Binh Duong Youth Activities Center has sent official letters to localities to make a list and support free swimming lessons for the children.
From shy children, after a period of training, they are now bolder and more confident when going into the water. Notably, they can swim on their own to protect themselves in case of incidents.

At the closing ceremony, the Binh Duong Youth Activity Center awarded certificates of completion of the course to 40 students.
According to the Binh Duong Youth Activities Center, the unit continues to guide 3 free swimming classes for 60 students, who will finish the course in November 2026. Free swimming teaching for disadvantaged students aims to promote swimming literacy and drowning prevention for children. At the same time, through the program, it aims to continue to accompany young people, especially students who are children of workers in difficult circumstances.
