Grassroots trade unions listen to workers, remove obstacles from production lines

On October 11, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that the grassroots trade union of Trans Pacific Seafood Processing Co., Ltd. was just commended by the unit as a "Typical Enterprise for Workers" in 2026. The grassroots trade union chairman was also awarded the title "Typical Worker for the Enterprise".

This company is in Phan Thiet Industrial Park, with more than 400 union members and workers.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Hong Van, Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union, the unit determines that protecting rights, caring for life and improving the working environment are key tasks for workers to feel secure in sticking with the business.

In 2025, the trade union coordinated with businesses to launch emulation movements for good labor and creative labor, recording 52 improvement proposals.

The initiatives contribute to saving costs, optimizing machinery operation, maintaining smooth production lines and improving labor safety and fire prevention.

In addition to promoting productivity, trade unions participate in building collective labor agreements with many clauses that are more beneficial to workers than legal regulations. At the same time, supervise the full and timely payment of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance.

Workers' opinions and recommendations are received through suggestion boxes, Zalo groups, periodic dialogues and live chats during breaks.

The Trade Union Executive Committee also went down to production lines and technical areas to grasp problems with salaries and insurance and contribute to rectifying safety at key positions.

Union members' lives are concerned through visits when sick, weddings, birthday gifts, Workers' Month and cultural and sports programs. The Trade Union also cares for and encourages union members' children with good academic achievements.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Van, Chairwoman of Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union, assessed that the grassroots Trade Union of Trans Pacific Seafood Processing Co., Ltd. has proactively performed the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.

Grassroots trade unions not only coordinate with businesses to organize emulation movements to improve productivity but also closely monitor workers, promptly grasp recommendations on salaries, insurance and working conditions. This is a practical approach, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations at enterprises.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, the Company's grassroots trade union has clearly shown its role in accompanying businesses by linking the interests of workers with the goal of production development.

A noteworthy point is that trade union activities do not stop at caring for life but also create conditions for workers to develop their abilities, contribute initiatives and work with businesses to build a safe and professional working environment.

This approach needs to be replicated, contributing to improving the quality of trade union activities at the grassroots level and building sustainable labor relations.

Being honored with the title "Exemplary Enterprise for Workers" in 2026 is a recognition of the efforts of the Company's grassroots Trade Union in accompanying the enterprise and caring for union members.
