Lam Dong Trade Union sets a target of 20,000 more union members

Right in the last days of May 2026, the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union continuously announced the establishment of 4 grassroots trade unions and admitted 140 union members.

The units established with grassroots trade unions include the grassroots Trade Union of BT Eye Hospital Joint Stock Company with 72 union members, the grassroots Trade Union of Dak Nong Vocational Education Center with 23 union members, the grassroots Trade Union of Dak Mil Bazal Stone Trading and Production Co., Ltd. with 9 union members and the grassroots Trade Union of Quoc Viet Economic - Technical Secondary School with 36 union members.

Increasing the total number of grassroots trade unions and professional unions under the management of the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union to 965, with 92,079 union members.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - informed that the investment environment has improved, the number of businesses has increased, especially in industrial parks and the private economic sector, creating great room to develop union members and establish grassroots trade unions.

Faced with that requirement, the Provincial Labor Federation determined that this is a key task, requiring focusing resources and innovating methods; in which propaganda and mobilization are key solutions.

According to the Organization - Inspection Department of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, to achieve high efficiency, trade union levels must proactively grasp the situation of businesses and workers in the area; flexibly approach workers in industrial parks, production facilities and service business areas.

Activities to care for life, support union members, dialogues at the workplace, and protect the legitimate rights of workers continue to be considered important factors to help develop sustainable union members.

For employers, the trade union promotes propaganda to help businesses understand the role, function and benefits of establishing grassroots trade unions. When trade unions operate effectively, it will contribute to building harmonious and stable labor relations, creating a favorable production and business environment for business development.

In parallel with that, the Steering Committee for member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions continues to assign capable and experienced officials to directly perform tasks; and at the same time support lower-level trade unions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of mobilizing the establishment of Trade Union organizations.

Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation sets a target to increase at least 20,000 trade union members by the end of the 2025 - 2030 term.
