This is the sharing of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhan - Vice Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Ngan Ha Technical Technology Co., Ltd. (Quang Ha commune, Quang Ninh) - on the sidelines of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, morning of June 3.

Ms. Nhan said that as a young trade union official (born in 1994) with 5 years of trade union work cum HR Director of Ngan Ha Technical Technology Co., Ltd., she is truly proud and touched when attending the Vietnam Trade Union Congress for the first time.

Ms. Nhan is also the youngest delegate of the delegation of 12 people of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation to attend the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

The private economic sector is inherently a dynamic but also stressful environment, where workers always face constant fluctuations in the market, jobs and income. Therefore, the Trade Union organization here is not just a place to take care of life, but must truly be the most solid support, protecting legitimate rights and accompanying workers to overcome all difficulties" - Ms. Nhan said.

According to Ms. Nhan, coming to this Congress, the biggest concern of her and union members in the unit is how to make the policies of the VGCL closer to the specific characteristics of non-state enterprises.

I expect the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to create a strong breakthrough in innovating operating methods, cutting unnecessary administrative procedures, and focusing resources on grassroots levels. In particular, I hope the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will promote substantive collective dialogue and negotiation mechanisms, helping workers have a living wage, a safe and civilized working environment, and fair promotion opportunities.

Besides, as a female official, I also send my wish that the congress will have more specific and practical welfare programs and policies for female workers - those who are both shouldering work at the company and fulfilling the duties of mother and wife in the family. We expect a new term with drastic action decisions, making the Trade Union organization become a true "roof", where workers fully place their trust and aspiration to contribute to the development of the country" - Ms. Nhan shared.
