Giving gifts to encourage workers in the hot summer

On June 11, Ms. Dao Xuan Thanh Huyen - Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee of the Industrial Park of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ninh Binh province - said that in the face of prolonged hot weather, trade union levels in Hoa Xa Industrial Park (Ninh Binh province) are strengthening many activities to care for and protect the health of union members, workers, and laborers.

Accordingly, the trade unions of industrial parks have coordinated with businesses to arrange rest areas, supplement drinking water, soft drinks, and cooling fans at the workplace; and at the same time adjust working hours appropriately for units working in hot weather.

In addition, trade union levels also promote propaganda on knowledge of heat and sun protection; mobilize businesses to improve working conditions and ensure labor safety and hygiene for workers.

On this occasion, the Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee of the Industrial Park of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province also presented gifts in cash to support 5 grassroots trade unions in Hoa Xa Industrial Park to buy yogurt and cool drinks to supplement workers and laborers. The total support cost is 5 million VND.

Ms. Tran Thi Hang Nga - a worker at Viet Thuan Garment Co., Ltd. - shared: "We are very happy to receive the attention of the trade union organization. Gifts such as drinks and yogurt, although not of great value, are very practical in hot weather, helping workers cool down and have more motivation to work. We hope that these care activities will continue to be maintained so that workers can feel the companionship and concern of the trade union organization.
