Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union comprehensively cares for workers

In the Workers' Month 2026, the Trade Union of Thong Nhat Ward (Gia Lai) implemented many practical activities, focusing on caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers (ĐV, NLĐ), thereby affirming its role as a reliable support for the Trade Union organization.

At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month associated with the Action Month on occupational safety and health, the Ward Trade Union commended 1 collective and 2 typical individuals; supported 14 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each amounting to 1.5 million VND; visited 1 case of workplace accident with an amount of 2 million VND.

The Ward Trade Union coordinated with Cao Nguyen Eye Hospital to organize free examination, screening and consultation on eye diseases for union members and workers. To date, 218 union members have benefited. The program lasts until the end of July 2026, expanding the opportunity to access medical services for workers.

Along with that, the Ward Trade Union organized sports festivals, established 4 football teams to participate in the Gia Lai Provincial Workers' Men's Football Tournament, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of union members and workers.

At 31 grassroots trade unions, care activities were deployed synchronously, attracting 1,511 participants. In which, the business sector had 26/27 units participating; the non-business sector and state-owned enterprises reached 100% with 6 units responding.

Many grassroots trade unions and businesses have allocated large resources to care for workers. Typically, the grassroots trade union of Gia Lai Printing and Education Development Investment Joint Stock Company launched the "Impress quickly, enter quickly" movement, rewarding 2 collectives and 100 turns of union members with a total budget of 125 million VND; The grassroots trade union of Dakrose Hydropower Joint Stock Company presented gifts to 32 workers, with a total budget of 160 million VND; The grassroots trade union of Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital organized "Trade Union Meals" for 455 union members...

In the month, the Ward Trade Union newly admitted 186 union members, reaching more than 232% of the target; newly established 5 grassroots trade unions, reaching 250% of the target; introduced 18 outstanding union members for the Party to consider and foster, of which 4 comrades were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.

From the proposal of the Ward Trade Union, the Provincial Labor Federation commended 1 collective and 4 typical individuals. In particular, a grassroots Trade Union Chairman of the ward was honored to be praised nationwide by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for his outstanding achievements in collective dialogue and negotiation.

The results achieved in Workers' Month 2026 contribute to improving the material and spiritual life of workers, while building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the locality.
