Hung Yen Trade Union cares for and supports workers
In Hung Yen, activities to care for and support union members and workers are being regularly implemented by trade union levels, authorities and businesses, associated with the labor production emulation movement, contributing to improving living standards and creating motivation for workers to work.
At Thien Son Garment Co., Ltd. (Tam Da village, Tong Tran commune, Hung Yen province), leaders of Hung Yen province and the Trade Union organization visited, encouraged and presented gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. 100 gifts were handed over to workers, each gift including 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND. Holding the gift in his hand, Mr. Nguyen Duc Nam - a worker at Thien Son Garment Co., Ltd. - said that timely care helps workers reduce difficulties and feel more secure in sticking with the business. "We feel shared and encouraged a lot. This is a source of motivation to continue striving in our work" - Mr. Nam said.
Along with this activity, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province Ngo Thi Kim Hoan and leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation visited and presented 250 gifts to union members and workers at Victory Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd. (Vu Thu commune) and Bao Hung International Joint Stock Company (Tan Thuan commune). Ms. Bui Thi Hong Quyen - a worker at Victory Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd. - shared that the concern from the Trade Union organization helps workers have more motivation to overcome difficulties and feel secure in working for a long time. According to Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Ngoc Te Shoe Co., Ltd., the work of caring for workers at enterprises today is not only limited to immediate material support, but more importantly, it creates long-term connection between workers and businesses through a stable, safe working environment and sharing. Ms. Hang said that at Ngoc Te Shoe Co., Ltd., the Trade Union always closely coordinates with the business leadership to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers, thereby making appropriate adjustments in welfare regimes, working hours as well as activities to support spiritual life. "We identify workers as the center in all production activities. Besides salary and income, what they need is care, recognition and a stable working environment to feel secure and attached for a long time" - Ms. Hang said.
According to the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation, in the past time, trade union levels continued to promote activities towards grassroots levels, focusing on caring for the rights and lives of union members through visiting and supporting workers in difficult circumstances and labor accidents; organizing dialogues, negotiations and signing collective labor agreements with many contents that are more beneficial to workers. Labor production emulation movements, improving skills, and promoting technical innovation initiatives are maintained, contributing to improving productivity, income and labor quality in enterprises.
