Trade unions join hands to care for the health of people in difficult circumstances in Lam Dong

On June 8, Ms. Le Huynh Thi Hoa Phuong, Chairwoman of Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union, said that grassroots trade unions have responded to the program to donate milk to poor households, near-poor households, policy families, people with disabilities and the elderly participating in screening health check-ups at Binh Thuan General Hospital.

The activity was launched to celebrate the success of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, and at the same time contribute to taking care of the health and lives of people in difficult circumstances in the area.

Previously, on July 6-7, grassroots trade unions sent representatives to coordinate with Binh Thuan General Hospital and local authorities to implement a screening health check-up program for policy beneficiaries, people with disabilities, the elderly, poor households and near-poor households.

Accordingly, at the program, 12 grassroots trade unions supported 29 boxes of milk to give to people coming for health check-ups.

Because many people have to fast to perform tests, the milk boxes given after blood collection have contributed to supplementing nutrition, helping people stabilize their health while waiting for examination.

Representatives of the Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union said that although the material value is not large, the milk portions show the concern and sharing of the trade union organization for social security work in the locality.

In addition, the Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union also requested the Trade Union of Binh Thuan General Hospital to continue to coordinate with professional departments to promote propaganda and mobilize union members to participate in support.

Thereby, creating favorable conditions for people in the process of medical examination, treatment and health screening.
