Dozens of workers in Hai Phong paid after Lao Dong Newspaper's reflection
After Lao Dong Newspaper published the article "Police investigate the case of 20 workers being paid late", all seasonal workers were paid their salaries by T.A.P MARINE Co., Ltd.
Mr. Pham Sy Quynh (from Khanh Hoa), representative of the worker group, shared: "On behalf of the collective of workers, I would like to thank Lao Dong Newspaper for helping, providing accurate and timely news, and accompanying workers in the past time.
Previously, as reported, nearly 20 workers worked with T.A.P MARINE Co., Ltd. (Ninh Hoa ward, Khanh Hoa province) in the form of seasonal labor, without labor contracts, and regimes according to agreements between the two parties from November 20, 2025. The workplace is Thai Binh Duong Shipbuilding Company (Tien Lang commune, Hai Phong), the job is to complete interiors on the ship with salaries paid twice a month on the 15th and 30th of each month.
However, from April to June 2026, the company did not pay wages to employees (NLĐ). The total amount of wages of workers that the enterprise has not paid is nearly 700 million VND. Because they could not contact the employer, workers sent a petition to the functional agency of Tien Lang commune.
Tien Lang Commune People's Committee immediately assigned the Commune Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to verify and clarify the case. Initial verification results from Tien Lang Commune Police showed that on November 21, 2025, Thai Binh Duong Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company and T.A.P MARINE Co., Ltd. signed an economic contract on the construction and installation of CSV18 cable-stayed ship interior systems, constructed at Thai Binh Duong Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company. During the contract implementation, Mr. Le Minh Tau - Director of T.A.P MARINE Co., Ltd. hired Mr. Pham Sy Quynh as construction supervisor; then Mr. Quynh directly hired more workers to carry out the work. On June 10, 2026, the project was accepted and completed, but the company has not yet paid salaries for April, May, June 2026 to employees.
Grasping information, Hai Phong City Labor Federation contacted relevant parties, coordinated with Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation to verify and work with businesses, thereby resolving the case for employees.
