Nomura Fotranco Trade Union in Hai Phong launches new model to care for workers

The Trade Union of Nomura Fotranco Co., Ltd. currently has 955 trade union members. In the period 2023-2025, the Trade Union will coordinate to organize 5 periodic dialogues, 3 employee conferences; receive and resolve 8 recommendations from employees mainly related to salaries, allowances, working conditions and female labor regimes.

The Trade Union negotiated and signed a collective labor agreement effective until May 2027, including 13 clauses, including many clauses that are more beneficial to workers such as Lunar New Year bonuses of at least 1 month's salary, basic salary 12% higher than the minimum salary, attendance bonus, fuel allowance for travel or rent... Thanks to this, the average income reached 9.6 million VND/person/month, an increase of 20% compared to the beginning of the term. During the term, the company did not have any serious labor accidents...

Based on the criteria set of the "Socialist Grassroots Trade Union" model of the City Labor Federation, the Trade Union of Nomura Fotranco Co., Ltd. reviewed the current situation according to 4 groups of standards, 8 criteria. The self-review results showed that the Company's Trade Union achieved 92/100 points, of which the group of caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers and the group of organizing and participating in emulation movements achieved maximum points.

In the coming time, the company's Trade Union will focus on improving the cultural and spiritual life of union members; actively participate in building a strong Party, government, and Trade Union organization. In addition, the trade union will improve the quality of emulation movements, promote the role of trade union groups, trade union officials and core union members, striving to meet model standards.

Speaking to direct, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the City Labor Federation - said that the socialist grassroots trade union model originates from the aspirations of union members and workers, taking workers as the center and the main beneficiaries are workers.

Along with the launch of 65 socialist grassroots trade unions, the City Labor Federation is simultaneously implementing activities to care for the lives, jobs, and health of workers. It is worth mentioning the program of free eye examination and cataract replacement for union members, the emergency loan program with preferential interest rates for union members; supporting funding for building and repairing houses for union members in difficult circumstances... The City Labor Federation assigned grassroots trade unions immediately after the conference to continue reviewing and summarizing the needs of union members and workers so that trade unions can provide timely support, helping workers feel secure in their work and be attached to businesses and trade union organizations for a long time.

The Chairman of the City Labor Federation wishes each worker to improve their awareness, skills, professional qualifications, proactively master machinery, equipment, and new technologies, contributing to the development of businesses, localities and the city.

On this occasion, the City Labor Federation presented 20 gifts to workers of Nomura Fotranco Co., Ltd. in difficult circumstances.

On the same day, the Trade Union of Sougou Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Japan - Hai Phong Industrial Park) also launched the "Socialist Grassroots Trade Union" model for the period 2026 - 2030. The company has 281 employees, basically stable jobs, harmonious labor relations, no collective labor disputes, no labor accidents during the term. Average income reached 9,688,000 VND/person/month, an increase of about 15% compared to the beginning of the term.
