Bao Thang Trade Union promotes the role of union members in environmental protection

Lao Cai - Bao Thang Commune Trade Union mobilizes union members and workers to simultaneously conduct general cleaning in 23 villages, collecting nearly 43 tons of waste.

On September 29, information from Bao Thang Commune Trade Union, in response to the 2026 "Make the World Cleaner" Campaign with the theme "From Clean Food To Clean City", the unit has propagated and mobilized union members and workers to launch a general environmental sanitation campaign in 23/23 villages in the area.

The activity attracted 4,163 participants, including a large number of officials, union members, workers and people.

The forces cleared and swept 87.4 km of traffic roads; dredged and cleared 11.7 km of canals and ditches; collected, transported and treated about 42.9 tons of waste.

Spontaneous waste points discovered during the cleaning process were also treated. Along with that, 36 cultural houses, parks and community activity points were renovated and cleaned.

On the roads, forces participated in caring for, planting new and replanting 7.1 km of flower roads; renovating 42 flower beds and green strips, contributing to creating a clean and beautiful appearance for residential areas.

The activity is deployed simultaneously in 23 villages to raise people's awareness in collecting and treating waste, limit the emergence of spontaneous waste points and maintain a clean and beautiful environmental landscape.

Through this, the movement to join hands to protect the environment has spread more widely in the community, gradually forming the habit of preserving the environment from each family and residential area.
