Launching the Self-Management Team for Environmental Protection at Quan Lan Island, Van Don

On the afternoon of July 22, Quan Lan 1 village Party Cell organized the launch of the Self-Management Team for environmental protection and waste collection in Quan Lan island area.

The activity is part of the program to respond to the Project "Propagating and mobilizing officials, union members, association members and people to participate in environmental protection, contributing to building'green islands, clean islands, developed islands' in islands belonging to Van Don special zone, period 2026-2030" of the Party Committee of Van Don special zone.

Responding to the project, the Van Don Special Zone Trade Union has developed a plan, chaired the implementation and coordinated with the Quan Lan 1 Village Party Cell and related units to implement it.

Attending the program were Ms. Le Thi Net - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Van Don Special Zone; along with representatives of forces, organizations, businesses and tourism service business establishments in the area.

The self-management group includes representatives of the Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, grassroots security forces, environmental sanitation units, businesses, accommodation establishments and tourism service business households.

The group has the task of propagating and mobilizing people, tourists and business establishments to maintain environmental sanitation; directly participating in collecting waste, protecting the landscape, and building a green, clean, and civilized Quan Lan tourism environment.

At the ceremony, the Self-management Group received the task and launched a response to the model "Green - clean - beautiful Quan Lan, civilized tourism, sustainable development", contributing to raising the awareness and responsibility of each individual, organization and business establishment in preserving the environment, landscape, and quality of destinations.

Continuing this activity, on the morning of July 23, the Van Don Special Zone Trade Union - the unit assigned to be in charge of Quan Lan island - coordinated with agencies, units and forces in the area to organize an environmental sanitation campaign.

Activities are deployed at Quan Lan beach, Quan Lan communal house area, model flower garden in Quan Lan 1 village, Quan Lan port and some public places on the island.
