Hai Phong City Labor Federation affixes a Green - Clean - Beautiful model at enterprises

Impressive green, clean, and beautiful workspace

Saint-Gobain Bac Viet Nam Construction Materials Co., Ltd. operates in Nam Trieu ward, Hai Phong city, currently creating jobs for 72 workers.

According to Mr. Luu Trung Bo - Chairman of the company's Trade Union, responding to the movement to build the "Green - Clean - Beautiful" model, implementing good labor safety culture at the workplace, the Trade Union of Saint-Gobain Company coordinates with the Board of Directors to implement many synchronous solutions to build a civilized, safe and environmentally friendly working environment.

The business focuses on landscape investment with many green trees, flowers and miniatures harmoniously arranged in the factory premises, corridors and offices. The production space is designed to ensure ventilation, maximize natural light, and install a monitoring system for electricity and water use to improve energy efficiency.

In parallel with that, the 5S model is regularly maintained at workshops and departments. Waste is sorted at source, collected in accordance with regulations; the working area is always cleaned and tidy. Toilets are deodorized and cleaned periodically, contributing to creating a civilized and professional working environment.

The company also issued and strictly implemented regulations on environmental protection, labor safety and fire prevention and fighting. Every year, workers are trained and conduct fire prevention and fighting drills, and are fully equipped with appropriate protective equipment for each job position. Thanks to that, the awareness of complying with labor discipline, maintaining environmental sanitation and ensuring safety in production of workers is increasingly improved.

Technical improvements to improve the working environment

Not stopping at improving the working environment, Saint-Gobain Trade Union promotes the creative labor movement, encouraging union members and workers to research and propose technical innovation initiatives to serve production.

The enterprise focuses on applying digital transformation, automating equipment and researching energy-saving solutions to reduce operating costs, reduce emissions and improve production efficiency. The Environmental Management Group was established to implement initiatives towards green production models and sustainable development. Among them, the 2025 initiative helps to significantly save water use, reduce LPG fuel and electricity consumption, thereby cutting CO2 emissions, bringing about a profit of about 2.1 billion VND... Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, in the past 10 years, the company has not had any serious labor accidents.

Recognizing the initial results of the model implementation of enterprises and grassroots trade unions, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation wished each worker to strictly comply with regulations on occupational safety and health, actively contribute to the success of the model; aiming to replicate the model in grassroots trade unions throughout the city.

After the launching ceremony, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation awarded the symbol of typical entrepreneurs in innovation and creativity accompanying workers to business leaders; attended a trade union meal with all company employees.
