Hai Chau Ward Trade Union, Da Nang spends nearly 2.7 billion VND to care for workers
Da Nang - In the past year, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union has spent nearly 2.7 billion VND to promptly support and share difficulties with thousands of union members and workers.
On the afternoon of July 24, the Standing Committee of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union (Da Nang) organized a commemorative program, marking the journey of one year of effective operation according to the two-level local government model, and at the same time welcoming new units and providing practical support to union members facing difficulties. This is an activity towards the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Chairman of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union said: "Since establishment according to the model of directly managing 178 grassroots trade unions with 8,400 union members, in a short time of promoting access and mobilization, the unit has newly established 36 grassroots trade unions, admitted nearly 1,300 union members, raising the current total management scale to 214 grassroots trade unions with 9,689 union members. Along with the task of developing and building a strong organization, we always identify the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers as a central and consistent task.

According to the Hai Chau Ward Trade Union, in just the past year, the Hai Chau Ward Trade Union has mobilized and implemented a series of care activities with a total budget of nearly 2.7 billion VND. These resources are focused on timely support for practical programs such as supporting storm and flood recovery, giving Tet gifts, organizing trade union car trips to take workers home, supporting the construction of Trade Union Warm Houses, as well as regularly visiting and sharing with cases of work accidents or serious illnesses.

At this year's anniversary program, representatives of the Da Nang City Labor Federation and leaders of Hai Chau ward awarded the decision to establish and presented flowers to congratulate 9 new grassroots trade unions joining the organization. The new units include Manh Huy Phat Co., Ltd., H.I. S. Song Han Vietnam Tourism Co., Ltd., Visnam Trading JSC, Vani Bread Making Co., Ltd., Tryhand Co., Ltd., Tech Pulse Co., Ltd., Taka Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd., Human Brain Global Co., Ltd. and KLN Freight Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) in Da Nang.
On the occasion of gratitude and celebrating the traditional day, the Standing Committee of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union presented 70 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, directly to union members and workers in difficult circumstances working at affiliated grassroots trade unions.
