Fishing unions support Da Nang fishermen to reach out to sea and stick to the sea
Da Nang - Trade Union and Vietnam Fisheries Humanitarian Fund donate funds to support families of 13 fishermen in distress at sea.
Tam Giang Fisheries Trade Union (Nui Thanh commune, Da Nang) has just coordinated with Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union to organize the handover of support funds from the Vietnam Fisheries Humanitarian Fund to 13 families with relatives who were victims in the sinking of two fishing boats QNa-90129-TS and QNa-90927-TS that occurred in October 2023.
The particularly serious accident at sea caused many fishermen to go missing while fishing. Although functional forces, ship owners and fishermen have made efforts to search for a long time, there is no further information. After completing the procedures according to legal regulations, the competent Court declared the missing cases dead.
Sharing the pain of the relatives, representatives of the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union and Tam Giang Fisheries Union directly visited and provided support to 13 families with a total budget of 26 million VND. This is a practical source of encouragement to help families alleviate difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives after the major event.
This meaningful activity continues to affirm the practical role of the Trade Union organization and the Fisheries Union in accompanying and protecting the legitimate rights of union members and fishermen. Thereby, promoting the tradition of mutual affection and love, adding more faith for people to feel secure in going offshore and sticking to the sea, contributing to protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
