Commending 853 students who are children of rubber industry workers
VRG and the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union commended and rewarded 853 outstanding students who are workers in the Rubber industry.
853 outstanding students who overcame difficulties and studied well were commended by Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) and Vietnam Rubber Trade Union on the morning of October 25.
This is an activity within a series of activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of Vietnam Rubber Industry Tradition Day (October 28, 1929 - October 28, 2026) and the 20th anniversary of VRG's establishment (October 30, 2006 - October 30, 2026).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Minh Trung - Deputy General Director of VRG - said that after 14 years of operation, the 28.10 Scholarship Fund has awarded more than 7,051 scholarships to studious students who have achieved excellent results, contributing to nurturing dreams and adding motivation for them to firmly step on the path of knowledge.
Mr. Le Thanh Hung - General Director of VRG - said that since the Association for Promoting Education 28.10 was established in 2012, the movement for promoting education and talent has spread widely throughout the rubber industry. From 263 children being commended in 2013, this year 853 children have been honored, an increase of about 3.2 times, proving the strong spread of the movement for education promotion and the love and responsibility of the collective of rubber industry workers.
Also from 2013 to now, the 28.10 Education Promotion Fund has mobilized 63.1 billion VND, of which 28.4 billion VND has been handed directly to studious students across the country. To date, 7,051 typical students have been commended, thousands of children of rubber industry workers have received scholarships, especially children in difficult circumstances, in remote and isolated areas, and children of ethnic minorities.
In 2026 alone, the 28.10 Education Promotion Fund commended and rewarded 853 students with an amount of nearly 3.1 billion VND.
Mr. Kha also requested students to continue to cultivate ethics, cultivate knowledge, master science and technology, focus on applying artificial intelligence in learning and creativity, always maintain gratitude, spirit of studiousness, aspiration to contribute, continue and promote the heroic 97-year tradition of "Phu Rieng Do", the pride of generations of Vietnamese Rubber workers.
On this occasion, businesses, units in VRG and partners sponsored the 28.10 Scholarship Fund with more than 15 billion VND.
