Giving 50 million VND to help female union member with cancer build "Trade Union Shelter
Lao Cai - Suffering from thyroid cancer, requiring periodic treatment, while the family's economy is still difficult, Ms. Luong Thi Le has been supported by the union to build a new house.
On October 23, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation informed that the Lao Cai Ward Trade Union had just awarded 50 million VND to support the family of union member Luong Thi Le, belonging to the Trade Union of Bat Xat Regional Health Center, to build a "Trade Union Shelter".
Union member Luong Thi Le has difficult family circumstances, herself suffers from thyroid cancer, has undergone surgery and is still having monthly periodic check-ups and treatment.
The family has 6 members, of which the husband is a worker with unstable income. The couple also has to raise two children to study and take care of their elderly parents who are often sick.
Faced with that situation, the Lao Cai Ward Trade Union advised and proposed that the Provincial Labor Federation support the family with 50 million VND from the Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Charity Fund to build a new house.
At the fundraising ceremony, Mr. Dang Nguyen Hoan - Chairman of Lao Cai Ward Trade Union - visited and encouraged the family to strive to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and feel secure in their work.

Moved by the concern and sharing of the Trade Union organization, Ms. Luong Thi Le's family expressed their gratitude to the Lao Cai Ward Trade Union and Trade Union levels for supporting and adding motivation for the family to gradually improve living conditions.
Leaders of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that the "Trade Union Shelter" program is a practical activity, demonstrating the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of union members and workers, especially those facing housing and health difficulties.
The support source not only contributes to reducing the economic burden but also adds faith for union members to rise up, stabilize their lives and stick with the trade union organization.
