Dien Bien - Working groups of the Provincial Labor Federation have come to each grassroots trade union to listen to the thoughts of union members.

On October 28th, information from the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that on October 26th and 27th, the Propaganda - Women's Affairs Working Group of the unit directly visited and grasped the operating situation at the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of SCI Dien Bien Joint Stock Company (Muong Luan commune) and the CĐCS of Dien Bien Dong Medical Center (Na Son commune).

The working trip aims to promptly record the thoughts, aspirations as well as the actual lives of union members and workers at the grassroots level.

At the grassroots trade union of SCI Dien Bien Joint Stock Company (a unit with 26 union members, of which 21 union members are ethnic minorities), the working group noted that the unit well implemented work, equipped labor protection and periodic health checks for workers.

The average income of workers reaches about 12 million VND/month.

Notably, the grassroots trade union has proposed that the upper-level trade union organization pay attention to and support a family of union members with young children suffering from dangerous diseases, who regularly have to receive blood transfusions for treatment.

Working at the Trade Union of Dien Bien Dong Medical Center (with 116 union members, 57 women), the working group listened to feedback on the working conditions of grassroots-level doctors and medical staff.

The Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union proposed that the Provincial Labor Federation consider policies to subsidize 5 union members with particularly difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases such as cancer and heart disease.

Through practical survey activities, the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation has directly dialogued and recorded close recommendations from the grassroots level to summarize and report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation to develop a timely subsidy plan.

This is a practical activity to strengthen the connection between provincial-level trade unions and grassroots levels, affirming the role of accompanying, protecting and caring for the lives of union members and workers in mountainous areas.
