Organizational structure of Nhan Dan Newspaper

The Politburo has just issued a Decision on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of Nhan Dan Newspaper (Decision No. 499-QD/TW dated October 23, 2026).

According to Decision No. 499-QD/TW, Nhan Dan Newspaper is a public non-business unit of the Party Central Committee, placed under the direct and regular leadership and direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat.

Nhan Dan Newspaper is the central mouthpiece of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the voice of the Party, State and People of Vietnam; the core force on the ideological, political and cultural front of the Party; the ideological and political center, the media force orienting social awareness, positioning correct values; the political-ideological flag of the Party on our country's press front and on cyberspace; a bridge between the Party, State and People; a key multimedia and multilingual press and media agency of the Party and State in the field of print and electronic press.

Nhan Dan Newspaper has the international trading name in English as Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Nhan Dan Newspaper organizes the publication of publications: Nhan Dan Daily, Nhan Dan Weekend, Nhan Dan Monthly, Nhan Dan Electronic Vietnamese, Nhan Dan Electronic Foreign Language (English, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Lao, Cambodian, Japanese...), Thoi Nay Newspaper, supplements for 6 socio-economic regions and some other publications.

Regarding the organizational structure, the leadership of Nhan Dan Newspaper includes the editor-in-chief and no more than 4 deputy editors-in-chief. The editor-in-chief is the head of Nhan Dan Newspaper, concurrently holding the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Subordinate units include:

Secretariat - Editorial Board, Party Building Board, Political - Foreign Affairs Board, Economic Board, Culture - Society Board; Science - Environment Board, People's Electronics Board, Resident Reporter Management Board, Specialized Board; Technology Board, Planning - Finance Board, Office, Media Development Center, Representative of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the Central - Central Highlands region, Representative of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the Southern region, Electronic Information Portal of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Nhan Dan Newspaper has a system of resident offices (representative offices) in provinces and cities and a system of resident offices abroad established in accordance with the law.

This decision takes effect from the date of signing and replaces Decision No. 218-QD/TW, dated December 28, 2024 of the Politburo on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Organizational structure of the National Political Publishing House Truth

The Politburo has also issued Decision No. 657-QD/TW dated October 26, 2026 on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the National Political Publishing House Truth.

According to the Decision, the National Political Publishing House Truth (hereinafter referred to as the Publishing House) is a non-business unit of the Party Central Committee, placed under the direct and regular leadership and direction of the Secretariat, with the function of being a theoretical and political publishing agency of the Party and the State; operating in accordance with the Party's regulations and guidelines and the State's laws.

Regarding the organizational structure, the Publishing House includes the Board of Directors; Editorial - Publishing Council; 14 directly subordinate department-level units.

The Publishing House has the task of organizing translation, editing, publishing and issuing theoretical, political, social and legal books; Party documents; legal normative documents of the State; research works to protect and develop the Party's ideological foundation; developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's ideology to hold a leading position in social spiritual life; improving the Party's leadership and ruling capacity, building a clean and strong political system; serving the cause of renovation, the task of building and protecting the Fatherland.

Coordinate to organize the compilation, translation, editing, and publication of books to serve foreign information work; books to serve leadership, management, research, and reference; books to serve cadres, party members and people of all strata.

At the same time, organize the publication and distribution of specialized publications of the Publishing House in the form of printed and electronic publications. Organize the exploitation, management and development of products under the Publishing House's copyright and publishing trademark according to regulations.

This decision takes effect from the date of signing and replaces Decision No. 223-QD/TW, dated December 28, 2024 of the Politburo on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the National Political Publishing House Truth.
