The Trade Union always accompanies, protects and supports the less fortunate union members
Dien Bien - The Provincial Labor Federation is gradually becoming a fulcrum to protect the rights and care for the warm home of union members and poor workers.
For each worker, a solid place to "settle down" is the most basic premise to stabilize livelihoods and feel secure in contributing for a long time.
However, in mountainous and border provinces such as Dien Bien, economic pressure and living costs make the dream of building a spacious house still a major obstacle for many workers and direct laborers.
Faced with that reality, Dien Bien trade union levels have stuck to the grassroots level, deploying many practical care activities, clearly affirming their role as representative organizations, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members.
On October 29th, the Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the handover and awarded funding to support the construction of "Trade Union Shelter" houses for the family of union member Lo Van Tam (Trade Union of Dien Bien Import-Export Trading Joint Stock Company).

The presence and joint efforts of trade union levels and employers demonstrate the responsibility of synchronous coordination between representatives of workers and businesses in caring for the lives of workers in mountainous areas.
The family of union member Lo Van Tam is in particularly difficult circumstances. For many years, poor family circumstances and tight income have made it impossible for him to accumulate enough to build a private house.
All daily activities of the whole family have to rely on the younger brother's house in a cramped space, encountering many inconveniences.
Understanding the concerns and legitimate aspirations for safe housing of workers, the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation decided to deduct 50 million VND from the "Trade Union Shelter" Fund to promptly support Mr. Tam's family to start construction of a new house.

At the time of receiving the funds, Mr. Tam expressed his gratitude for the timely support. He said that he was very touched to receive attention and protection from trade union levels in the province.
The support fund is not only simply of material value to help remove financial difficulties, but also a great spiritual encouragement from the Trade Union organization.
Ensuring social security rights and a safe living environment helps workers relieve daily worries, gradually stabilize their lives, feel secure in labor production and closely associate with employers.
In the context of increasingly developing labor relations, the protection of union members' rights is not limited to supervising law enforcement, collective labor agreements or salary and insurance regimes.
Proactively taking care of the most basic needs such as housing, support in case of illness and hardship is the most practical measure to strengthen the trust of union members in the organization.
The "Trade Union Shelter" program of the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation has been and is promoting a profound humanistic effect, spreading the spirit of mutual affection in trade union levels.
When the rights and lives of workers are properly concerned, the trade union organization will truly become a reliable support, tightening the sustainable relationship between workers, businesses and society.
