Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will give Tet gifts early to 350,000 - 400,000 workers on November 15th
Giving Tet gifts early will help workers shop for Tet at a time when prices are more affordable than near the Lunar New Year.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on October 20, Mr. Vo Khac Thai - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that on November 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will give early Dinh Mui Tet gifts to 350,000 - 400,000 workers, 1 million VND each through direct transfer to workers' accounts. The total amount of gifts for workers is about 350 - 400 billion VND.
Giving Tet gifts early will help workers shop for Tet at a time when prices are more affordable than near the Lunar New Year and contribute to stimulating shopping demand and the development of the City," Mr. Thai said.
Also according to Mr. Thai, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organization will have a document requesting businesses to consider having an early Tet bonus plan for employees in November or December.
It is known that on Binh Ngo Tet 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also gave Tet gifts to 350,000 workers with an amount of 350 billion VND in the form of bank transfers.
