Sedo Vinako Trade Union - a support for 5,000 workers
From contributing money to help colleagues in distress to negotiating to improve welfare and build libraries, Sedo Vinako Trade Union, Da Nang City has become a support for more than 5,000 workers at a 100% Korean-owned enterprise.
Thousands of colleagues join hands when workers encounter accidents
In March 2026, Ms. Hua Thi Hoang Trinh, a worker at Sedo Vinako Co., Ltd. (Da Nang City), suffered a traffic accident, severe injuries to her eyes and facial bones. As a single mother, both raising young children and taking care of her elderly mother, she faced many difficulties due to high treatment costs.
Faced with that situation, the company's Trade Union mobilized officials and employees to contribute 46.7 million VND, helping her have more funds for treatment and overcome adversity.
At the end of September 2026, that spirit of mutual support continued to spread when Sedo Vinako Trade Union donated more than 92 million VND to support two difficult circumstances. Among them, Ms. Dao Thi Lap was in a serious accident and the family of Ms. Ho Thi Thuy Nga, a union member with a serious illness, passed away, each case received more than 46 million VND. Ms. Nga's family was also subsidized an additional 5 million VND for death benefits.
According to Mr. Le Hoan Giang - Chairman of Sedo Vinako Trade Union, on average each year, the trade union mobilizes about 500 - 700 million VND to care for and support workers facing difficulties and hardships.
The contributions are public and transparent, creating trust for the trade union to mobilize thousands of workers to join hands to help colleagues in distress.
Trade union acts as a bridge between workers and business owners
Sedo Vinako is a 100% Korean-invested enterprise. In a production environment with more than 5,000 workers, harmonizing the interests between workers and businesses is important for long-term stability and development.
Through suggestion boxes, hotlines, social networks and direct exchanges of workers, trade union officials receive feedback on salaries, meals, noise, dust and labor safety to dialogue with the board of directors.
From negotiation, meal allowances were increased from 18,000 to 20,000 VND; workers were supplemented with a gasoline allowance of 100,000 VND/month, maintaining shuttle buses. Policies to support sending children to workers with children under 6 years old and periodic health check-ups were also implemented. The average income of workers is currently more than 8.2 million VND/person/month.
In particular, from the proposal to bring books closer to workers, the board of directors has invested nearly 500 million VND to build a library and arrange operating personnel. Put into operation from July 2021, the library now has more than 6,000 books on life skills, health, literature and children's books, serving workers and children.
In 2025, the library was awarded the Reading Culture Development Award by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Assessing the role of the Trade Union, Mr. Kim Byung Tae - Director of Sedo Vinako Company - shared: "With the Trade Union supporting and caring for workers - as a leader - I am very reassured.
According to Mr. Kim, the trade union is truly a fulcrum for workers, and at the same time helps businesses grasp their thoughts and solve problems arising in labor relations. Therefore, the company always creates conditions for trade union officials to promote their role and create practical ways of doing things.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City Labor Federation - highly appreciated Sedo Vinako Trade Union in negotiating to improve welfare, build libraries and mobilize more than 1.6 billion VND to support workers in distress in the 2023-2025 term.
