Khanh Hoa builds healthcare model for workers
Khanh Hoa - The Trade Union strives to build at least one health care model for union members and workers suitable for the industry each year.
On October 18, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that the plan to protect, care for and improve the health of union members and workers in the 2026-2031 period has just been implemented to grassroots trade unions throughout the province.
Accordingly, trade unions at all levels will strengthen propaganda about the benefits of periodic health check-ups, screening and detection of occupational diseases.
The goal is that by 2031, 100% of employees subject to periodic health check-ups at enterprises with Trade Union organizations will be checked by employers according to regulations.
Grassroots trade unions are responsible for supervising and proposing handling cases where rights are not guaranteed.
At the same time, 100% of petitions from union members and workers related to violations of the right to health check-ups and occupational disease detection are received, classified, guided or proposed to competent authorities for resolution by the trade union.
Union members who suffer from work accidents, occupational diseases or serious illnesses are also informed of the situation, visited and provided with timely support.
One of the annual tasks set by the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation is to build health care models suitable to the specific characteristics of each labor group. In which, priority is given to workers working in industrial parks, seafood processing enterprises, textile and garment enterprises and female workers.
The Trade Union also aims to support workers in preventing stress and occupational exhaustion.
Especially female workers, shift workers and groups with specific job characteristics. Examination and professional consultation activities must be carried out by qualified medical facilities and practitioners.
The Trade Union organization will strengthen the supervision of periodic health check-ups, occupational disease detection check-ups, regimes for people injured in labor accidents and the confidentiality of health information.
The quality of lunch meals, rest time, overloaded overtime and occupational safety and hygiene conditions are also contents that are focused on.
At the same time, encourage the use of Electronic Health Records, applying digital technology in receiving feedback and surveying health care needs.
In addition, the trade union will promote dialogue and collective bargaining to include contents on health care, nutrition, rest, mental health and medical welfare in collective labor agreements.
By 2031, strive for at least 70% of grassroots trade unions in enterprises to include at least one content related to health and working conditions in the agreement.
