Vinh Long Trade Union admits 231 more union members, establishes 4 grassroots trade unions
Vinh Long - Trade union levels develop 231 new union members, establish 4 grassroots trade unions, and strengthen care for workers.
According to a report by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), in the week from October 19 - 25, the unit newly established 4 grassroots trade unions at enterprises, including Conexvn Co., Ltd., Mien Tay Trading and Human Resource Development Co., Ltd., Hai An Material Vinh Long Co., Ltd. and The Quyen Trading and Service Co., Ltd.
Along with developing union members, the Provincial Labor Federation guides grassroots trade unions to organize congresses for the 2026 - 2030 term. To date, 14 grassroots trade unions have organized congresses, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Activities to care for union members and workers continue to be concerned by Trade Union levels. On the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th, grassroots trade unions organized many practical activities, giving gifts to 21,170 female union members with a total budget of more than 5 billion VND.
Phuoc Hau Ward Trade Union coordinated with the grassroots Trade Union of Vinh Long Specialized Eye Hospital to present 50 gifts, worth a total of 10 million VND, to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances. The grassroots Trade Union of Vinh Long Water Supply Joint Stock Company visited 31 union members with 15 million VND.
In addition, grassroots trade unions coordinated with CEP Microfinance Organization - Vinh Long Branch to disburse more than 500 million VND of preferential loans, supporting union members and workers to develop the family economy, contributing to limiting black credit.
As of October 25th, Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation managed 675 grassroots trade unions and 7 commune and ward trade unions, with a total of 182,900 union members over 208,066 workers.
