Establishment of grassroots trade union at the first enterprise in Nghia Hoa Industrial Cluster

On October 21st, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation announced that it had just held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union of Gear Meister Vina Co., Ltd., an FDI enterprise specializing in producing backpacks and bags in Ham Tan commune.

This is also the first enterprise to officially operate in Nghia Hoa Industrial Cluster.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, presented the decision to establish and congratulated the grassroots trade union. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich was appointed to hold the position of Provisional Chairman of the grassroots trade union.

Mr. Hoang requested the Provisional Executive Committee to soon stabilize the organization, build working regulations, and coordinate with the board of directors to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.

Grassroots trade unions need to promote emulation movements for good labor and creative labor, contributing to the sustainable development of enterprises.

After the ceremony, the working delegation led by Mr. Hoang and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ham Tan Commune Party Committee, visited the factory, visited workers and worked with company leaders.

The delegation learned about the production process, operation of departments, working conditions and workers' lives. Through this, grasped the production and business situation as well as issues related to the jobs and lives of workers at the enterprise.

According to Mr. Hoang, the presence of businesses marks the starting point in the process of forming and developing industrial clusters, while opening up opportunities to attract more investors, create jobs and promote local economic restructuring.

The establishment of grassroots trade unions also creates conditions to strengthen coordination between the government, trade union organizations and businesses in caring for and protecting the rights of workers.

This is the foundation to promote the representative role of trade unions, accompanying businesses and union members in the development process.
