Improving the financial efficiency of the Trade Union, increasing resources to care for workers
Gia Lai - Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade focuses on improving the efficiency of financial management and use, prioritizing resources to care for and protect the rights of workers.
On October 24, in Quy Nhon ward (Gia Lai), the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade organized a conference to summarize financial work in 2025, in order to assess the results of implementation, point out shortcomings and limitations, and propose solutions to improve the efficiency of financial work in the coming time.
At the conference, Mr. Le An Hai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade - said that for many years, the unit has always paid attention to financial work. Financial resources play an important role, helping the Trade Union organization to perform well its function of representing and protecting the rights of workers.
In 2025, although still facing some difficulties, the basic financial indicators meet the general operating requirements of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade. However, the implementation in some units is still limited, the situation of overdue debt still exists, revenue and expenditure are not sufficient, the settlement and finalization work has not ensured progress, and inspection and supervision are not strict...
According to Mr. Le An Hai, the achieved results as well as the shortcomings need to be frankly and receptively recognized, in the spirit of innovation and creativity, in order to create substantive changes and improve the efficiency of financial work in the coming time.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade requested units and trade union levels to focus on exchanging, discussing, and sharing experiences, creative and effective ways of doing things in performing tasks.
In which, it is necessary to improve the efficiency of Trade Union asset management; practice thrift, combat wastefulness; effectively exploit assigned assets; promote digital transformation; effectively use financial resources, prioritize resources to care for and protect the rights of union members and workers; strengthen financial transparency...
On that basis, units propose tasks and solutions to overcome shortcomings and limitations and clarify subjective and objective causes; proactively balance resources, especially financial resources, to implement programs and plans on schedule, practically, effectively, meeting the thoughts and aspirations of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers and completing the set goals.
At the conference, the grassroots Trade Union of Tan Tien Packaging Joint Stock Company presented a paper on the topic "Improving the efficiency of using Trade Union financial resources, focusing resources on caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers".
The Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union presented a paper on "Proactively implementing new regulations on trade union finance, ensuring unity in revenue and expenditure management and financial decentralization".
The Trade Union of Vietnam Industrial Construction Corporation JSC will present a paper on "Strengthening financial transparency and openness; improving the quality of inspection, supervision and preventing errors in trade union financial management"...
On this occasion, the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union financial work in 2025.
