More than 3,400 new union members join Gia Lai Trade Union
Gia Lai - Emulation Cluster No. 1 - Provincial Trade Union has admitted more than 3,400 new union members, and established 20 grassroots trade unions in the first 6 months of the year.
On July 28, Emulation Cluster No. 1 - Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union including Trade Unions of Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon Nam, Quy Nhon Bac, Quy Nhon Dong, Quy Nhon Tay wards and Tuy Phuoc commune organized a preliminary review of Trade Union activities in the first 6 months of the year, deploying tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.
Currently, Cluster 1 manages 320 grassroots trade unions with 34,652 union members. In the first 6 months of the year, the entire Cluster 1 newly admitted 3,447 union members and established 20 grassroots trade unions, contributing to expanding the Trade Union organization and attracting workers to participate.
The work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers continues to be emphasized. Notably, the program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", through which 125 gifts worth 250 million VND and 1,407 shopping vouchers with a total value of more than 703 million VND were awarded.
In addition, commune and ward trade unions promptly visit and support union members suffering from dangerous diseases, labor accidents, and affected by natural disasters; organize many practical activities to respond to Workers' Month 2026.
Patriotic emulation movements and creative labor are widely deployed. In the first 6 months of the year, nearly 248 initiatives and solutions were registered and applied in practice, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of Trade Union activities at the grassroots level.
At the conference, units in the Cluster shared good models and effective ways of doing things; and analyzed difficulties and obstacles in the work of developing union members and improving the quality of grassroots trade union activities after arranging administrative units. On that basis, the conference agreed on many solutions to complete the targets and tasks for 2026.
On the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), Emulation Cluster No. 1 also organized many meaningful activities, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere among officials, union members and workers.
