Establish 3 more grassroots trade unions in Binh Hung commune, Ho Chi Minh City
The establishment of 3 new grassroots trade unions in Binh Hung commune (HCMC) contributes to expanding the network of trade union organizations and improving the effectiveness of caring for workers.
On July 25, Binh Hung Commune Trade Union (HCMC) said it had just held a meeting to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026) and the 1st anniversary of the establishment of the Commune Trade Union.
The highlight of the program is the announcement ceremony of the decision to establish 3 grassroots trade unions at non-state enterprises. The establishment of new grassroots trade unions contributes to expanding the network of trade union organizations, developing union members, improving the effectiveness of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
At the meeting, the Binh Hung Commune Trade Union handed over the list of outstanding union members to the Commune Party Committee to continue fostering and considering Party admission; signed a coordination program with the Commune Business Association to strengthen union member development, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
The unit also launched the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" and organized the signing of commitments to build agencies, units, and businesses "No drugs".
Speaking at the program, Ms. Le Thai Hoa Mi - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Hung commune acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the Commune Trade Union after one year of operation. At the same time, she requested the trade union organization to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, promote the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to building the political system and promoting local socio-economic development.
On this occasion, the Binh Hung Commune Trade Union commended 20 typical grassroots trade unions; awarded savings books worth 10 million VND to support union members in difficult circumstances; coordinated with CEP Binh Chanh Microfinance Organization to award scholarships worth a total of 18 million VND to children of union members and workers overcoming difficulties to study well.
Previously, the Standing Committee of Binh Hung Commune Trade Union organized visits and encouragement to trade union officials through periods and businesses with many union members and workers in the area.
The program is a practical activity towards the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, contributing to affirming the role of the trade union organization in caring for the lives of union members and workers, and at the same time promoting the building of harmonious and stable labor relations at enterprises in the commune.
