Bai Chay Ward Trade Union launches 10 grassroots trade unions

On the afternoon of July 23, the Trade Union of Bai Chay Ward organized a conference to thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress; announced the decision to establish grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) and signed 10 collective labor agreements.

More than 100 delegates attending the conference thoroughly grasped the core contents of the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031; listened to reports on the results of union member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions in the ward.

Bai Chay Ward currently has more than 900 operating businesses, of which more than 700 businesses employ less than 20 workers, mainly small and micro enterprises.

The labor force is constantly fluctuating due to the specific characteristics of tourism, trade and service industries.

In the first 7 months of 2026, Bai Chay Ward Trade Union established 15 grassroots trade unions, exceeding the target assigned by the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation.

Along with the establishment of grassroots trade unions, the Ward Trade Union has developed nearly 1,000 union members in newly established units and businesses with additional labor. The total number of newly developed union members in the year to date has reached nearly 1,200 people, equal to 120% of the plan.

Currently, the Bai Chay Ward Trade Union is managing 143 grassroots trade unions with more than 8,400 union members.

At the conference, the Trade Union of Bai Chay Ward announced the decision to establish and launch 10 grassroots trade unions belonging to businesses operating in the fields of tourism, trade, and services in the area.

The units include: Phuc Hung Trading and Service Company - Quang Ninh Branch; Ha Long Thinh Vuong Trading Tourism Service Company; Gia Hung Quang Ninh Transport Trading and Service Company; Truc Lam Duong International Trading Company; Royal Lotus 1168 Tourism and Trading Company; Quang Ninh Agriculture and Forestry Consulting Joint Stock Company; SRT Dong Bac Trading and Investment Company; SRT Quang Ninh Trading and Investment Co., Ltd.; BBK - Victoria Tourism Joint Stock Company; Hanoi General Import-Export Joint Stock Company Branch in Quang Ninh.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, representatives of employers and the executive committees of 10 grassroots trade unions signed 10 collective labor agreements.

In the last 5 months of the year, the Bai Chay Ward Trade Union continues to review businesses that meet the conditions for establishing grassroots trade unions; support newly established units to improve the quality of operations, strengthen dialogue and collective bargaining.

The unit strives for 100% of grassroots trade unions to be qualified to organize periodic dialogues and sign collective labor agreements.
