Quang Ninh establishes 84 grassroots trade unions in the first 6 months of the year

Quang Ninh - In the first 6 months of 2026, trade union levels in the province have newly established 84 grassroots trade unions, taking care of and supporting more than 10,500 turns of union members and workers.

On June 19, the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to summarize the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year; deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026; summarize Workers' Month 2026.

In the first 6 months of the year, trade union levels in the province focused on performing the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. No collective labor disputes or strikes occurred throughout the province.

Trade union levels have coordinated to sign 35 new collective labor agreements; organized 151 dialogue conferences with the participation of 9,511 union members and workers.

By June 18, the whole province had newly established 84 grassroots trade unions, reaching 56% of the annual plan; including 61 grassroots trade unions in non-state-owned enterprises.

The work of caring for the lives of union members and workers continues to be concerned. During the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, trade union levels visited and presented gifts to about 14,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers.

In the first 6 months of the year, trade unions at all levels supported and visited 10,525 union members and workers with a total budget of over 15.5 billion VND; implemented 138 "Trade Union Meals - Thank you workers" programs for more than 22,000 workers.

Emulation movements and propaganda activities continue to be implemented. Trade union levels organize political activities "Learning from Uncle Ho, our hearts become brighter" with over 6,000 union members participating; organize 41 conferences to commend 98 collectives and 597 individuals who are advanced and typical in labor production.

In Workers' Month 2026, trade union levels supported 493 workers in difficult circumstances, 63 production teams; organized the program "Trade Union Meal - Thanking Workers" for 19,288 people with a budget of more than 2.7 billion VND.

Trade union levels also introduced 131 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission, of which 83 union members were admitted to the Party.

At the conference, delegates agreed on key tasks for the last 6 months of the year, including focusing on implementing the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress; promoting the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income"; striving to complete the target of establishing 150 new grassroots trade unions and admitting 20,000 union members in 2026.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. To Xuan Thao - Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation - requested trade union levels to continue to perform well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting workers; improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining; promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions and build strong trade union organizations.

On this occasion, the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit to 17 collectives with outstanding achievements in the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers, trade union activities, Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026.
