Trade unions of Thanh Hoa - Hua Phan provinces sign memorandum of understanding on cooperation

On July 22, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a conference to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the period 2026-2030 with the Hua Phan Provincial Trade Union Union (Laos).

At the conference, representatives of trade union organizations of the two provinces exchanged information and shared experiences in leading and directing the workers' and laborers' movement and trade union activities. The two sides also assessed the results of implementing the memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the 2022-2025 period.

According to assessments, the cooperation contents in the 2022-2025 period were seriously, practically and effectively implemented by the two sides, contributing to fostering the special friendship and comprehensive solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in general, and Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan provinces in particular.

During this period, the two trade union organizations regularly exchange and share operating experiences; coordinate propaganda about the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos; and create conditions for businesses of the two provinces to explore cooperation, investment and business opportunities.

Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation has supported the Hua Phan Provincial Trade Union Union Union 375 million VND to build 3 "Trade Union Homes" and equip work equipment. This activity contributes to improving working conditions and strengthening the work of caring for union members and workers in Hua Phan province.

Promoting the achieved results, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation and the Hua Phan Provincial Trade Union Federation signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the period 2026-2030.

According to the signed content, the two sides agreed to continue to maintain working groups for periodic exchanges; strengthen sharing experiences on innovating content and methods of operation, building strong trade union organizations, developing union members and training and fostering trade union officials.

The two sides will also promote cooperation on digital transformation, application of information technology and artificial intelligence in trade union activities; coordinate to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.

On this occasion, leaders of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation and Hua Phan Provincial Trade Union Union Union exchanged souvenirs, showing solidarity, attachment and strong cooperative relations between trade union organizations of the two provinces, contributing to consolidating the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
