Professional training for 30 Lao Trade Union officials in Quang Ninh
Quang Ninh - From July 21-22, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized 2 training classes on union member development and inspection work for Lao Trade Union officials.
On July 21, in Quang Ninh, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - attended and delivered the opening speech at the training class for Lao Trade Union officials.
The program was attended by 30 trainees who are leaders of the Organizing Committee, the Central Inspection Committee of the Lao Trade Union Federation and local trade union federations of Laos.
Two training classes were organized in two days, July 21-22, focusing on the topics "Developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions in private enterprises" and "Trade Union inspection work".
The activity is implemented under the Cooperation Agreement between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Lao Central Confederation of Labour for the period 2023-2028, aiming to strengthen experience exchange and improve operational capacity for trade union officials of the two countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - emphasized that the two training topics in this phase are both practical and are key and consistent contents of the Vietnam Trade Union, especially in the context of Vietnam's deep international integration and participation in many new generation free trade agreements.
Inspection and supervision work contributes to ensuring compliance with the Trade Union Charter, preventing violations, improving operational efficiency and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested trainees and lecturers to strengthen exchanges, share difficulties, experiences and effective practices in practice, thereby improving the quality of training classes.
In addition to the training content, the delegation of Lao Trade Union officials will visit and work with a grassroots trade union at a coal mining enterprise in Quang Ninh, thereby learning about the experience of implementing trade union tasks in practice.
