Cam Le Ward Trade Union, Da Nang establishes 13 new grassroots trade unions

Recalling the glorious tradition of the Trade Union

News from the Trade Union of Cam Le Ward, Da Nang City on July 26 said: The Trade Union of Cam Le Ward organized a program to review the tradition of celebrating the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026) and awarded decisions to establish 13 grassroots trade unions in the ward.

Attending the program were Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation; Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Cam Le Ward People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Hien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee; Mr. Tran Trung Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with representatives of leaders of agencies, units, businesses, grassroots trade unions and a large number of union members and workers.

At the program, delegates reviewed the glorious 97-year tradition of building and developing the Vietnam Trade Union.

Over nearly a century, the Trade Union organization has always accompanied the revolutionary cause of the nation, constantly innovating the content and methods of operation, and performing well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.

At the same time, launching many patriotic emulation movements, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the country and localities.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Dang Huu Duc - Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cam Le Ward, Chairman of the Trade Union of Cam Le Ward affirmed that he will continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation in the direction of taking union members and workers as the center; directing activities to the grassroots level, building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

20 gifts to support union members in difficult circumstances

At the program, the Trade Union of Cam Le ward announced and awarded decisions to establish 13 grassroots trade unions at 13 enterprises in the area according to the decisions of the established Labor Federation.

The establishment of new grassroots trade unions continues to expand the network of trade union organizations in the business sector, creating conditions for workers to join trade union organizations, to be represented, cared for and protect their legitimate and lawful rights and interests.

Also at the program, Cam Le Ward Trade Union received 40 million VND in support of the "Trade Union Elevates the Future" Program from grassroots trade unions and companion units.

From this funding source, the organizing committee has awarded 20 support scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, contributing to adding motivation for them to rise up in their studies and lives.

On the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Cam Le Ward Trade Union also presented 40 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the area.

The gifts show the concern and sharing of the Trade Union organization, contributing to encouraging union members to overcome difficulties, feel secure in working, producing and sticking with businesses.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee summarized and awarded prizes for the "Trade Union Beauty" photo contest, honoring beautiful images of union members, workers and trade union activities in the area; thereby spreading human values, building a dynamic, creative, and close-to-union members and workers image of the Trade Union organization.
