Chien Dan Commune Trade Union, Da Nang presents 400 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances

News from the Trade Union of Chien Dan commune, Da Nang city on July 26 said: The Trade Union of Chien Dan commune organized a meeting to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, reviewing the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union organization and commending outstanding results in caring for union members and workers.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the nearly century-long journey of formation and development of the Vietnam Trade Union - a large socio-political organization of the working class and laborers, always playing the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and laborers; and at the same time being the core force in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland.

For the Chien Dan Commune Trade Union, after a year of establishment and operation, the Commune Trade Union always directs all activities to the grassroots level, taking union members as the center and the satisfaction of union members as a measure of effectiveness. In the past year, trade union levels in the area have implemented many practical activities, taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.

Notably, the work of visiting and supporting union members and workers who are sick or injured with a total budget of more than 1.2 billion VND; giving thousands of Tet gifts worth over 600 million VND; organizing free medical examinations and cancer screening for nearly 300 workers with a budget of about 200 million VND.

The "Chien Dan Trade Union - A Shelter of Love" model has sponsored students in difficult circumstances and union members with dangerous diseases with a total budget of nearly 400 million VND. The "Trade Union Meal" program was also organized for nearly 2,500 officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers with a budget of more than 600 million VND.

In addition to care work, the Commune Trade Union focuses on political and ideological education, and fostering outstanding union members. In 2026, the Commune Trade Union introduced 7 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission, of which 3 union members were admitted to the Party.

On this occasion, the Chien Dan Commune Trade Union presented 400 gifts, worth a total of 200 million VND, to union members, workers, and laborers in difficult circumstances, contributing to encouraging union members to overcome difficulties, continue to feel secure in working, producing and attached to the Trade Union organization.
