Quang Tri - The Provincial Labor Federation awarded "Trade Union Shelter" houses to union members in difficult circumstances, contributing to helping workers stabilize their lives and feel secure in their work.

On July 26, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation organized a handover ceremony of the "Trade Union Shelter" house to union member Nguyen Thi Nhan on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).

Union member Nguyen Thi Nhan works at the member grassroots trade union of Kien Giang Forestry Branch under the grassroots trade union of Long Dai MTV LCN Co., Ltd. Her family is in difficult circumstances, she herself is a worker, her husband has no stable job, and her two young children are in school, so her main income from salary is only enough to cover daily living expenses.

Faced with that situation, based on the proposal of the grassroots Trade Union of Long Dai Industrial Co., Ltd., the Social Fund of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation supported Ms. Nhan's family with 50 million VND to build a "Trade Union Shelter". Along with family funds and support, borrowing from relatives, Ms. Nhan completed a new house, contributing to stabilizing her residence and peace of mind to work.

At the house handover ceremony, representatives of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, leaders of Long Dai Industrial Co., Ltd. and the company's grassroots trade union visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to congratulate union member Nguyen Thi Nhan's family. Representatives of the Trade Union organization wished her to continue to strive to overcome difficulties, stabilize her life, be attached to the unit and successfully complete the assigned tasks.

The program to support the construction of "Trade Union Shelter" houses is a regular activity of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation to care for union members and workers in difficult housing circumstances. The activity contributes to helping union members stabilize their lives, feel secure at work, and at the same time affirms the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
