Quang Ninh - A female union member in difficult circumstances in Van Don special zone has just been supported with 40 million VND to build a house.

On July 25, according to information from the Van Don Special Zone Trade Union, the unit just organized the handover of funds to support the construction of "Trade Union Shelter" for Ms. Nguyen Minh Nguyet, residing in Dong Xa 1 neighborhood.

Ms. Nguyet is a member of the grassroots Trade Union of Phuong Dong Pearl Co., Ltd.

Her family is in difficult circumstances, living in a degraded and dilapidated temporary house for many years.

Ms. Nguyet both takes care of her elderly mother and raises two children of school age. Her husband does not have a stable job, so the family's income is precarious.

Faced with the situation of union members, the Trade Union of Van Don Special Zone has supported Ms. Nguyet's family with 40 million VND from the "Trade Union Home" program to give the family more conditions to build a house and gradually stabilize their lives.

At the fundraising ceremony, representatives of the Van Don Special Zone Trade Union and trade unions of some units in the area visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to Ms. Nguyen Minh Nguyet's family.

The "Trade Union Shelter" program is implemented to support union members in difficult housing circumstances, helping workers stabilize their lives and feel secure at work.
