Son Tra Ward Trade Union, Da Nang trains drug prevention and control skills for union members

News from Son Tra Ward Trade Union, Da Nang City on July 27 said: The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Da Nang City Police in coordination with the City Labor Federation and Son Tra Ward Trade Union organized a training conference on drug prevention and control skills for nearly 200 members of self-management groups of workers, trade union members and laborers in Son Tra Ward.

The program aims to raise awareness, sense of responsibility and promote the role of trade union organizations and self-management groups in preventing and combating crime and drug evils right from the grassroots level, contributing to building a safe and healthy working environment.

At the conference, the reporter of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department informed about the crime and drug evils in the city; analyzed the new methods and tricks of the subjects, especially the exploitation of workers, youth and people in difficult circumstances to entice the use, sale, and illegal transportation of drugs.

In addition to disseminating the provisions of the Law on Drug Prevention and Control, the conference also equipped many practical knowledge and skills such as identifying drugs and stimulants disguised in many forms; recognizing suspicious signs in boarding houses, businesses and workplaces; skills to propagate and mobilize workers to raise awareness of prevention; and at the same time guide how to handle and promptly report to the Police force when detecting illegal acts related to drugs.

Through practical situations and exchanges and discussions, the conference contributes to improving legal knowledge, self-prevention, self-management, and self-protection skills for workers; promoting the role of Self-Management Teams in building a safe and drug-free working environment.

This is a practical activity to concretize the policy of building a drug-free city of Da Nang, while mobilizing the strength of trade union organizations, businesses and workers to participate in social prevention work, contributing to maintaining security and order right from the grassroots level.
