Lao Cai Industrial Zones Trade Union Board admits 286 new union members

In order to promote the development of union members and expand the Trade Union organization in enterprises, on July 27, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks of Lao Cai province, base 2, held a conference to announce the decision to admit union members and establish grassroots trade unions at enterprises in the area.

Attending the conference were Mr. Phan Huy Cuong, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, leaders of the Trade Union Affairs Committee, Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks of the province, along with representatives of businesses and a large number of new union members.

According to the report, in the first 6 months of 2026, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks of the province has promoted propaganda and mobilized workers to join the Trade Union organization, and at the same time effectively implemented Project No. 02-DA/TU on developing Party and mass organizations in non-state-owned enterprises.

As a result, the entire unit has newly established 13 grassroots trade unions, admitted nearly 700 union members, contributing to expanding the network of Trade Union organizations, improving the rate of gathering workers and affirming the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members.

At the conference, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks of the province announced the decision to establish 7 grassroots trade unions, admitting 286 union members at enterprises in the area. Specifically, Viet Quang International Import-Export, Trade and Tourism Service Co., Ltd. has 13 union members; Lao Cai Steel Joint Stock Company has 42 union members; Thu Hung General Trading Co., Ltd. has 19 union members and Kim Ngoc Lao Cai Construction Co., Ltd. has 126 union members.

In addition, Van Thang Investment Joint Stock Company has 36 union members; Anh Nhan Lao Cai Co., Ltd. has 6 union members and Saigon Eye Hospital has 44 union members.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Phan Huy Cuong congratulated grassroots trade unions and new union members, and emphasized that trade unions are a reliable support for workers, a bridge between workers and businesses and Party committees and authorities at all levels.

The Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation requested grassroots trade unions after establishment to quickly consolidate their organizations, build operating regulations, promote the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members; coordinate with businesses to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.

The establishment of 7 new grassroots trade unions continues to create motivation to expand the Trade Union organization in enterprises, contributing to building the working class and the Trade Union organization of Lao Cai province to become increasingly strong.
