Vinh Long Trade Union takes care of thousands of workers on October 20th
Vinh Long - Many grassroots trade unions deploy activities to care for the occasion of October 20th, support union members in difficult circumstances, health check-ups and cultural and sports exchanges.
According to a report by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), from October 12 - 17, trade union levels deployed many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers on the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day 20/10.
Many care activities are organized at enterprises. The grassroots trade union of Ty Xuan Co., Ltd. organized the "Men in the Kitchen" contest with 36 participating teams, with a budget of 120 million VND; and at the same time supported 140 million VND for 2 union members with dangerous diseases.
Tra Vinh University Trade Union organizes a karaoke singing contest to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th, with more than 30 new music and traditional music performances, with a budget of over 60 million VND.
The grassroots trade union of Alliance One Garment Co., Ltd. coordinated with the board of directors to organize sports exchanges, attracting 132 athletes, with a budget of over 56 million VND. The grassroots trade union of Ty Bach Co., Ltd. organized 4 0-dong booths and 8 discounted booths, with a total budget of over 200 million VND.
The grassroots trade union of Tra Vinh Vocational College met and presented gifts to 52 female union members with a budget of over 7.8 million VND. The grassroots trade union of Vinh Ty Co., Ltd. presented gifts to 154 female union members, with a total amount of over 15 million VND. The grassroots trade union of YAZAKI EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. Branch in Tra Vinh took care of 104 union members and employees with a budget of over 41 million VND.
The grassroots trade union of Cu Lao Minh Regional General Hospital maintains a health consultation model, accompanies patients and mobilizes more than 51 million VND to support a union member suffering from a serious illness.
Ba Tri Commune Trade Union coordinates with businesses to conduct health screening for 4,035 union members and workers. The grassroots trade union of Ty Thanh Co., Ltd. maintains hygiene on the road to the company every Saturday, contributing to environmental protection.
Currently, the Provincial Labor Federation is managing 7 commune and ward trade unions and 671 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions, with 182,669 union members out of a total of 208,066 workers.
