Quang Tri deploys activities to protect workers' rights
Quang Tri - Trade union levels deploy dialogue and collective negotiation activities, care for union members in difficult circumstances and supervise the implementation of policies and laws.
On October 28th, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that in October, trade union levels will continue to perform the task of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; focusing on dialogue, collective bargaining and supervising the implementation of policies and laws.
In representative work, trade unions coordinate to organize employee conferences, implement grassroots democracy regulations; guide negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements, prioritizing clauses that are more beneficial to employees. Propaganda on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies is implemented through conferences, dialogues and troubleshooting activities.
Along with that, trade union levels pay attention to visiting and supporting union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases and mobilizing resources to care for the lives of workers.
Typically, Son Hai Group Co., Ltd. mobilized officials and employees to support the family of the deceased union member with 750 million VND. Long Dai Industrial Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. presented 9 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to union members in difficult circumstances.
Quang Tri Urban Environment Construction Joint Stock Company mobilized officials, union members, and workers to support union members with incurable diseases and difficult circumstances. During the period, the trade union also inaugurated and handed over 1 Trade Union Warm House to union members belonging to the Trade Union of Le Thuy Regional General Hospital.
The activity "Listening to union members and workers speak" continues to be implemented at grassroots trade unions, focusing on issues related to employment, income, working conditions, labor safety, insurance policies, housing and vocational training. Through dialogue, trade unions grasp workers' recommendations to coordinate with relevant parties to consider and resolve them.
According to data as of September 30, 2026, the whole province has 928 units that are late in paying social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for 4,301 workers, with a total amount of 159.492 billion VND. Of which, late payment interest is 70.8 billion VND.
Through representative activities, dialogues, collective bargaining, supporting union members in difficulties and supervising the implementation of policies and laws, trade union levels in Quang Tri province continue to promote the role of protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, contributing to improving working conditions and ensuring social security for union members.
